When to Submit University Exam Re-evaluation Applications?

Can you tell me, if I find my score low after the high school graduation exam, when can I submit a re-evaluation? Do I have to wait for the scores to be announced before I can apply?

Answer:

According to Article 33 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on re-evaluation of exam papers are as follows:

- All candidates have the right to request a re-evaluation of their exam papers; candidates submit their re-evaluation applications at the place of exam registration.

- The place of exam registration receives the re-evaluation applications from candidates within 10 days from the date of score announcement and transfers the data of candidates who submit re-evaluation applications to the Exam Council. Within 15 days from the deadline for receiving re-evaluation applications, the Exam Council must announce and notify re-evaluation results to the candidates.

...

Thus, according to the above regulations, the Exam Council will receive re-evaluation applications within 10 days after the score announcement date. In 2021, it is expected to announce the scores on July 26, so if you wish to request a re-evaluation, you can submit it from July 26 to August 5, 2021 (Official Dispatch 1318/BGDDT-QLCL in 2021).

Can an Uncle Proctor the Exam if His Nephew is Taking It?

I am a high school teacher who annually proctors the high school graduation exam. This year, my nephew (my brother's son) is taking the exam. Can I still proctor the exam?

Answer:

The exam proctor (invigilator) is one of the personnel participating in organizing the exam. According to Clause 2, Article 5 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the following regulations apply:

Persons who have spouses, parents, children, brothers, sisters, or siblings; parents, brothers, sisters, or siblings of spouses; guardians; or wards (collectively referred to as relatives) taking the exam in the year the exam is held are not allowed to participate in the task of drafting exam questions for the exam and are not allowed to participate in organizing the exam at the locality where the relatives are taking the exam.

Thus, according to this regulation, uncles are not considered relatives of the candidate taking the exam. Therefore, in your case, since your nephew is taking the graduation exam, you are still allowed to proctor (participate in organizing the high school graduation exam).

Can a Mother Proctor the Exam if Her Child is Taking It?

Hi, I would like to ask if I can proctor the exam if my child is taking the high school graduation exam this year. Thank you.

Answer:

Based on Clause 2, Article 5 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating the instances where personnel are not allowed to participate in organizing the high school graduation exam as follows:

Persons who have spouses, parents, children, brothers, sisters, or siblings; parents, brothers, sisters, or siblings of spouses; guardians; or wards (collectively referred to as relatives) taking the exam in the year the exam is held are not allowed to participate in the task of drafting exam questions for the exam and are not allowed to participate in organizing the exam at the locality where the relatives are taking the exam.

Thus, according to this regulation, you are not allowed to proctor the exam at the locality where your child is taking the exam. You may be allowed to proctor the exam in another locality.

Respectfully!
