Students Ranked as Good When the Cumulative GPA Reaches How Much?
According to Clause 2, Article 31 of the Regulations issued together with Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
Classification of academic results
a) The classification of academic results of learners by semester is based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA) for that semester according to the 4-point scale, specifically:
- Excellent: cumulative GPA from 3.60 to 4.00;
- Very good: cumulative GPA from 3.20 to 3.59;
- Good: cumulative GPA from 2.50 to 3.19;
- Average: cumulative GPA from 2.00 to 2.49;
- Poor: cumulative GPA lower than 2.00.
b) Learners with a GPA classified as very good or higher will be downgraded by one classification level if they fall into one or more of the following cases:
- Being disciplined by the teacher training institution with a warning level or higher during the semester in which the academic results are classified;
- Having one or more subjects or courses in the semester that need to be retaken, retrained (excluding conditional subjects; courses temporarily postponed for study or exempted).
=> Thus, according to the above regulations, students' cumulative GPA from 2.5 to 3.19 in the semesters will be classified as good.
Respectfully.
