According to Decision 1139/QD-BGDDT 2024, the deadline for students to complete online enrollment is before 5:00 PM, August 28.
Colleges with the need for additional admissions will open the registration period, and the additional admission period will be from September to December 2024.

Which Students are Eligible for Additional University Admissions in 2024?
Article 22 of the university admission regulations, attached to Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, outlines the organization of registration and consideration of additional admissions as follows:
Article 22. Organization of Registration and Consideration of Additional Admissions
Based on enrollment quotas and the number of students who have confirmed enrollment in departments and programs, the admissions council of the educational institution will consider and decide on additional admissions. The educational institution will announce the additional admission plan, methods, and registration forms; the admission conditions for departments and programs by each admission method but not lower than the previous admission conditions.
Students who have not been admitted or have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere may register for additional admissions according to the plan and guidance of the educational institution.
At the end of each admission period, the educational institution will publish on its website the admission scores (and any additional conditions and criteria if applicable) for departments and programs by each admission method; organize for students to look up their personal admission results; send admission notices and instructions for successful students to enroll.
Therefore, students eligible for additional university admissions in 2024 are:
- Students who have not been admitted;- Students who have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere.
Which Students are Eligible for Direct University Admission?
Clause 1, Article 8 of the university admission regulations attached to Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT outlines those eligible for direct university admission in 2023, including:
- Labor heroes, heroes of the armed forces, national emulation fighters are admitted directly to departments and programs as regulated by the educational institution.- Students with high achievements in national or international examinations, competitions, or tournaments:+ Students who won first, second, or third prizes in national, international exams for excellent students, or national, international science and technology competitions organized or nominated by the Ministry of Education and Training; the award time is not more than 3 years up to the time of direct admission consideration;+ Students with official awards in international art competitions in singing, dancing, music, fine arts recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; the award time is not more than 4 years up to the time of direct admission consideration;+ Students participating in the national team for official international competitions recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, including: World Championships, World Cups, Olympics, Asian Games (ASIAD), Asian Championships, Asian Cups, Southeast Asian Championships, Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), Southeast Asian Cups; the award time is not more than 4 years up to the time of direct admission consideration;+ Students who won first, second, or third prizes in ASEAN or international vocational contests nominated by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; the award time is not more than 3 years up to the time of direct admission consideration.
- Students with a good or higher grade in a vocational education secondary program, or a fair grade in a vocational education secondary program and at least 2 years working in the relevant field are directly admitted to the Early Childhood Education college level.
- The principal or director of the educational institution based on the high school academic results of the students and the requirements of the department to consider, decide to admit (if necessary, with the condition that students must take a one-year additional knowledge course before officially studying) the following cases:+ Students with severe disabilities with a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority as prescribed and able to pursue certain programs specified by the educational institution but unable to participate in regular admissions;+ Students of very few ethnic minorities as currently regulated by the Government of Vietnam and students from 20 poor border districts, islands in the Southwest region;+ Students who have had a permanent residence for 3 years or more, studied and graduated from high school in poor districts (ethnic boarding high school students are based on their permanent residence) as regulated by the Government of Vietnam, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;+ International students with knowledge and Vietnamese language proficiency tests meeting the current regulations of the Minister of Education and Training.
