Salary Classification Method for Senior Lecturers

According to Article 10 of Circular 40/2020/TT-BGDDT (Effective from December 12, 2020) stipulating the salary classification as follows:

- The professional titles of teaching public employees specified in this Circular shall apply the Specialist and Professional Salary Scale for state officials and public employees in state public service providers (Table 3) issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government of Vietnam on salary policies for officials and public employees and armed forces. To be specific:

+ The professional title of senior lecturer (class I) shall apply the salary coefficient of public employee type A3, group 1 (A3.1) from salary coefficient 6.20 to salary coefficient 8.00;

+ The professional title of principal lecturer (class II) shall apply the salary coefficient of public employee type A2, group 1 (A2.1) from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78;

+ The professional title of lecturer (class III), teaching assistant (class III) shall apply the salary coefficient of public employee type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98.

- Salary classification for professional titles shall be carried out after being appointed to the professional title by the competent authority mentioned in this Circular, in accordance with the guidelines in Clause 1, Section II of Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV dated May 25, 2007 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, guiding the salary classification when upgrading ranks, transferring ranks, and changing types for officials and public employees, and according to current legal regulations.

Thus, the professional title of senior lecturer (class I) shall apply the salary coefficient of public employee type A3, group 1 (A3.1) from salary coefficient 6.20 to salary coefficient 8.00.
