Regulations on Scientific Research for Faculty Members of Pedagogical Colleges
In Article 5 of Circular 36/2020/TT-BGDDT, there are regulations on the scientific research duties of lecturers at pedagogical colleges, as follows:
- Lecturers must dedicate at least 1/5 of their total working hours in the academic year (equivalent to 352 administrative hours) to performing scientific research duties.
- The assignment and implementation of scientific research duties for lecturers must be in line with the conditions, scientific potential, and development strategy of the pedagogical college, as well as in accordance with the lecturers' professional competence.
- Each year, lecturers must complete the assigned scientific research duties corresponding to their title or job position. The results of lecturers' scientific research are evaluated through scientific and technological products, research activities, and technology transfer; at minimum, equivalent to a faculty-level scientific research project or equivalent that has passed the review; or a specialized report at a faculty-level or equivalent scientific conference.
The principal of the pedagogical college assigns scientific research duties to lecturers and specifies the number of research hours converted from various types of scientific and technological products, research activities, and technology transfer.
- For lecturers who do not complete their scientific research duties as stipulated, the principal of the pedagogical college will, based on the extent and specific circumstances, consider it when evaluating the performance results of the academic year, classify the competition, and handle the relevant policies. Additionally, allowing the conversion of standard teaching hours to scientific research hours for these lecturers.
