Purpose of Issuing Regulations on Standards for Principals of Preschool Educational Institutions

The purpose of issuing the regulation on standards for principals of preschool educational institutions as stipulated in Article 2 of Circular 25/2018/TT-BGDDT, which promulgates the Regulations on Standards for Principals of Preschool Educational Institutions. To be specific:

- To serve as a basis for principals of preschool educational institutions to self-assess their qualities and competencies; to formulate and implement plans for the development of qualities and enhancement of school management competencies to meet the requirements of educational innovation.

- To serve as a basis for state management agencies to evaluate the qualities and competencies of principals of preschool educational institutions; to formulate and implement policies for the development of the management staff of preschool educational institutions; to select and utilize key management staff of preschool educational institutions.

- To serve as a basis for educational and management training institutions to build, develop programs, and organize training to enhance qualities and school management competencies for management staff of preschool educational institutions.

- To serve as a basis for vice principals who are planned for the principal position; and teachers who are planned for the principal or vice principal position to self-assess, formulate, and implement plans for training and learning to develop qualities and school management competencies.
