Promulgation of Professional Standards for Primary School Teachers for What Purpose?
According to Article 2 of Circular 20/2018/TT-BGDDT, which regulates the objectives of primary school teacher professional standards. To be specific:
Serve as a basis for general education teachers to self-assess their qualities and competencies; to build and implement plans to improve their qualities, enhance their professional capacity, and meet the requirements of educational innovation.
Serve as a basis for general education institutions to evaluate teachers' qualities, professional capacities, and skills; to build and implement plans to nurture the professional development of teachers in line with the educational goals of the school, local authorities, and the education sector.
Serve as a basis for state management agencies to research, develop and implement policies for the development of the general education teacher workforce; to select and utilize key teachers in general education institutions.
Serve as a basis for teacher training and development institutions to design, develop, and organize training programs to foster and enhance the qualities, professional capacities, and skills of teachers in general education institutions.
