Structure of Prizes in the National Excellent Student Competition
Based on Clauses 4, 6, 7 of Article 5 of Decree 110/2020/ND-CP stipulating the award amounts for students who win prizes in national and international competitions as follows:
- Students who win prizes in national competitions as stipulated in Clause 1 of Article 2 of this Decree will be rewarded as follows:
a) First Prize: 4 million VND;
b) Second Prize: 2 million VND;
c) Third Prize: 1 million VND.
Students who are ethnic minorities or disabled and win prizes in the competitions specified in Article 2 of this Decree will receive 1.5 times the reward specified in Clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of this Article. In cases where students are both ethnic minorities and disabled and win prizes in the competitions specified in Article 2 of this Decree, they will receive twice the reward specified in Clauses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of this Article.
Students are entitled to the reward stipulated in this Decree and the reward specified in Decree No. 91/2017/ND-CP.
Thus, your child will be rewarded depending on the type of prize as follows: First Prize 4 million VND; Second Prize 2 million VND; Third Prize 1 million VND. If your child is an ethnic minority or disabled and wins a prize in the competition, they will receive 1.5 times the above reward. In addition, your child will also enjoy the reward stipulated in Decree No. 91/2017/ND-CP.
Funding for the National Excellent Student Competition Rewards
The reward funding stipulated in Article 5 of this Decree will be paid by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs from the state budget.
Organizations and individuals are encouraged to use other legal funding sources to reward students who win prizes in national and international competitions.
