Positions and Functions of Specialized Physical Education and Sports Schools
Based on Article 2 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of specialized physical education and sports schools issued together with Circular No. 07/2021/TT-BGDDT, the position and function of specialized physical education and sports schools (PESS) are stipulated as follows:
Specialized PESS schools are educational institutions within the national education system, a specialized type of school for students with a talent in physical education and sports.
Specialized PESS schools have the function of training, fostering, and developing sports talents for students and teaching the general education program in accordance with the Regulations of primary schools; the Regulations of lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools, and multi-level schools issued by the Minister of Education and Training.
