Method of Calculating Extra Teaching Hours for Concurrent Teachers

Based on the provisions of Article 6 of the working policies for secondary school teachers issued in conjunction with Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT:

The teaching norm for high school teachers is 17 periods/week.

In which, you are entitled to a reduction in teaching norms for the following tasks:

- High school homeroom teachers are entitled to a reduction of 4 periods/week. (Clause 1 Article 8)

- Teachers concurrently serving as school council secretaries are entitled to a reduction of 2 periods/week. (Clause 3 Article 9)

Thus, in a week, the total number of periods you are reduced is 6 periods, and you are required to teach 11 periods.

In case, in a week, the total number of periods you teach is 13 periods, you are entitled to payment for 2 extra periods as the basis for calculating your overtime pay.
