Maximum Penalty Imposed by the Chairman of the District People's Committee in the Field of Education

Based on Clause 2, Article 36 of Decree 04/2021/ND-CP stipulating the authority to impose penalties of Chairpersons of People's Committees at all levels as follows:

The Chairpersons of district-level People's Committees, including districts, towns, district-level towns, and cities under the provincial authority (district level), have the authority to:

- Issue warnings;

- Impose fines up to 50,000,000 VND;

- Revoke licenses, practicing certificates for a specified period or suspend operations for a specified period;

- Confiscate evidence or means of administrative violations with a value not exceeding the fine amount stipulated in point b of this clause;

- Apply remedial measures as prescribed in Article 4 of this Decree.

Thus, in the field of education, the Chairpersons of district-level People's Committees can impose fines up to 50,000,000 VND.
