Mathematics with a score of 5, Chemistry with a score of 4: Can the student be considered an advanced student?
Based on Clause 8, Article 1 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
Recognition of the title of advanced student for a semester or the entire school year if conduct is rated as fairly good or better and academic performance is rated as fairly good or better.
Accordingly, you must achieve conduct rated as fairly good or better and academic performance rated as fairly good or better to be recognized with the title of advanced student.
* Regarding Conduct: The assessment and rating of conduct are carried out according to the provisions of Article 3 and Article 4 of the Regulations issued with Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT.
* Regarding Academic Performance
According to Clause 2, Article 13 of the Regulations on assessment and classification of lower secondary and upper secondary students issued with Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, the criteria for classification for the semester and the entire school year are as follows:
Fairly good, if meeting all of the following criteria:
- The average score of subjects is 6.5 or higher, with an average score of 1 out of 3 subjects Math, Literature, and Foreign Language being 6.5 or higher; for specialized class students of specialized high schools, the average score of the specialized subject must also be 6.5 or higher;
- No subject has an average score below 5.0;
- Subjects assessed by comments achieve a rating of D.
=> Not considering the condition of conduct, based on the academic performance classification regulations: Your average score of subjects is 6.5, but the average score for Chemistry is 4, which does not meet the fairly good academic performance criteria.
Therefore, you do not qualify for the title of advanced student.
Respectfully!
