Master's Degree Program Duration?
According to Clause 3, Article 3 of the Master’s Degree Training Regulation issued with Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT, the duration of master’s degree training is stipulated to be from one to two academic years. To be specific:
- Minimum of 1 academic year for fields and majors that require at least 5 years of undergraduate training and accumulated knowledge of 150 credits or more;
- From one and a half to two academic years for fields and majors not covered under Point a of this Clause;
- Based on the training program provisions at Clause 3, Article 20 of this Regulation, the head of the training institution shall specify the training duration and the extension thereof relevant to each field and major. The extended training period shall not exceed two years beyond the stipulated duration in Points a and b of this Clause.
Based on the above regulations, the duration of master’s degree training will range from 01 to 02 years. Additionally, institutions may flexibly distribute or extend the training duration, but not exceeding 04 years.
