Keloid Scars on the Arms: Eligibility for Police Academy Entrance Exam?
Based on the regulations at Point d Clause 2 Article 6 of Circular 15/2016/TT-BCA, the health standards required to apply to the police academy are determined as follows:
- No chronic or long-term illnesses;- Balanced physique and body condition;- No deformities or disfigurements;- For males, a height of 1.64 meters or more and a weight of 48 kilograms or more;- For females, a height of 1.58 meters or more and a weight of 45 kilograms or more;- For students from Region KV1 (including students enjoying priority policies in admission according to KV1 or students with permanent residence for 5 years in areas belonging to KV1), and students from ethnic minorities of each gender, the height and weight requirements may be reduced by 2 cm and 2 kg, respectively.- For citizens currently or having completed their obligation to participate in the People’s Public Security, or having completed military service in the People’s Army, the height and weight requirements will follow the current regulations on health examinations for selecting citizens to perform duty in the People’s Public Security. In cases where the police units or localities have higher height and weight requirements, they must report to the Minister for decision.
According to this regulation, the physique of candidates applying to the police must be balanced, without deformities or disfigurements. Regarding your case, whether the keloid scar on your arm from a past accident is considered a deformity or disfigurement will depend on the preliminary screening process and the conclusion of the Admissions Council.
If you meet the health conditions, to be eligible to apply to the police university, you must meet other standards such as academic level, age, political ethics, etc.
Note: In the year of registration, you can only apply to 1 (one) faculty, 1 (one) field of study at 1 (one) academy or university, and 1 (one) college of the People’s Public Security.
