Is there a subject that allows students to graduate with excellent classification?
According to Article 34 of the Regulations promulgated together with Circular 24/2019/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
- Graduation classification is determined based on the overall GPA according to credits for the entire course on a 4-point scale as stipulated in Article 29, Article 30 of these Regulations, and rounded to two decimal places, as follows:
+ Excellent: GPA according to credits from 3.60 to 4.00;
+ Good: GPA according to credits from 3.20 to 3.59;
+ Fair: GPA according to credits from 2.50 to 3.19;
+ Average: GPA according to credits from 2.00 to 2.49.
- Learners with a graduation classification of good or higher will be downgraded one classification level if they fall into one of the following cases:
+ Having one or more courses, study modules during the course that require retesting, retaking, or having at least one in some specialized study modules with equivalent knowledge and skills to the knowledge and skills of the thesis, graduation dissertation that require retesting or re-defending, or having at least one course, study module with a grade of D after conversion to letter grades in credit-based training as stipulated in Article 30 of these Regulations.
+ Being disciplined by the school from the level of a warning or higher during the study period at the teacher training institution.
=> Thus, if a student has an accumulated score classified as good but during the course has to retake a subject, they will be downgraded one level in the classification (if graduating with excellence, they will be downgraded one level to good).
Respectfully.
