Is It Mandatory to Use Literature or Mathematics Exams in the Combined Examination Set for University Admission?
At Clause 1, Article 8 of Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
The publication of combinations of test subjects/exam subjects for admission must be conducted according to the following principles:
a) The results of 3 test subjects/exam subjects must be used, including at least one of the two subjects Mathematics or Literature for admission. The selected test subjects/exam subjects for combinations must meet the requirements of the training sector; no more than 4 combinations of test subjects/exam subjects are to be used for admission to a sector (combinations that only differ in foreign languages are considered one combination).
The head of the training institution shall be responsible for explaining the process and basis for determining the admission combinations.
=> Therefore, according to the above regulations, the combination of test subjects for admission must include the Mathematics or Literature subject for admission.
