Is it Correct to Have Both Written Test and Oral Test for End-of-Course Examinations?
Based on Clause 2, Article 21 of the Regulation on Full-time Undergraduate and College Education by the Credit System promulgated together with Decision No. 43/2007/QD-BGDDT, the following provisions are stipulated:
The forms of end-of-course exams can be written exams (multiple-choice or essay), oral exams, writing essays, large assignments, or a combination of the aforementioned forms. The principal approves appropriate exam forms for each course.
According to the regulation, the forms of end-of-course exams are as follows:
+ Written exams (multiple-choice or essay);
+ Oral exams;
+ Writing essays;
+ Large assignments;
+ Or a combination of the aforementioned forms.
Accordingly, depending on each course, there will be one or a combination of different exam forms. The principal will approve the appropriate exam forms for each course.
Therefore, the case you inquired about is still in accordance with the regulation.
Respectfully!
