Is a Visual Acuity of 3.5 Diopters Eligible for Admission to the Military University of Culture and Arts?
Based on Clause 3 Article 1 of Circular 42/2017/TT-BQP regulating health standards for admission to schools in the Army as follows:
Selection of candidates (both male and female) achieving Level 1 and Level 2 according to the Joint Circular No. 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP dated June 30, 2016 by the Minister of Health and the Minister of National Defense stipulating health examination for military service (hereinafter referred to as Joint Circular No. 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP) for the following criteria: Internal Medicine, Neuropsychiatry, Surgery, Dermatology, Ophthalmology (except for myopia with specific regulations), Otorhinolaryngology, Dentistry - Jaw - Face, Chest circumference.
Certain specific standards are regulated as follows:
Schools training specialized technical officers, including institutions: Military Technical Academy, Military Medical Academy, Military Science Academy; University of Military Culture and Arts; Aviation Engineering training system under Air Defense - Air Force Academy; Military Technical Officer School (Vin-Hem Pich):

Regarding Eyes: Selection of candidates (both male and female) with myopia not exceeding 3 diopters, with visual acuity after corrective lenses reaching Level 1 as stipulated in Clause 1 Section II Appendix 1 Classification of health by physical condition and diseases, issued together with the Joint Circular No. 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP.
Therefore, based on the above regulations, the University of Military Culture and Arts only selects candidates with myopia not exceeding 3 diopters. Hence, in this case, if you have myopia of 3.5 degrees, you will not be able to apply to the University of Military Culture and Arts.
