If I study in English major, can I teach at foreign language centers in Vietnam?
I studied English major at University, I want to apply to teach at a foreign language center. So, what kind of certificate in pedagogy do I need in Vietnam?

According to Clauses 1 and 2, Article 18 of Regulation on organization and operation of foreign language and computer training centers promulgated under Circular 21/2018/TT-BGDDT as follows:
1. Teachers of foreign language and computer training centers are responsible for teaching and giving instructions on practice, and comprise tenured teachers, contract teachers, teachers being Vietnamese, teachers being native speakers (for each specific language) and foreigners.
2. A Vietnamese person is eligible for teaching computer science when they meet one of the following requirements:
a) Possessing at least a pedagogical college degree in computer science;
b) Possessing at least a college degree in computer science and a certificate in pedagogy.
Thus, based on the above regulations, Vietnamese teachers who want to teach at a Foreign Language Center need to meet one of the above conditions. Therefore, in case you study the English language, you must have an additional pedagogical certificate to meet the standard.
