How much academic support do ethnic minority students who study in primary schools receive in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree 57/2017/ND-CP stipulating policies to support learning for preschool children, pupils and students of very few ethnic minorities as follows:

1. Support level:

a) Ethnic minority preschool children with very few people studying at preschool education institutions are entitled to a learning support level equal to 30% of the base salary/child/month.

b) Very few ethnic minority students studying at primary schools, junior high schools and high schools are entitled to a study support level equal to 40% of the base salary/student/month.

c) Students of very few ethnic minorities who study at semi-boarding general schools for ethnic minorities or who are semi-boarding students studying at a public high school with part-boarding students are entitled to a study support level equal to 60% of the normal level on base salary/student/month.

d) Students of very few ethnic minorities studying at boarding schools for ethnic minorities are entitled to a study support level equal to 100% of the base salary/student/month.

dd) Students of very few ethnic minorities studying at pre-university schools, faculties, higher education institutions, and vocational education institutions are entitled to a study support level equal to 100% of their base salary/person/month.

Thus, very few ethnic minority students studying in primary schools are entitled to a study support level equal to 40% of the base salary/student/month inV ietnam.

What are methods of payment for study support for very few ethnic minority students who study in public primary schools in Vietnam?

According to Article 5 of Decree 57/2017/ND-CP stipulating the order, review time and method of payment of study support as follows:

1. Order and review time

a) For preschool children, pupils and students studying at public educational institutions

- At the beginning of the school year, preschool education institutions, general education institutions with preschool children, ethnic minority students who attend very few students organize dissemination, widely announcement, and guidance for parents (or caregiver) preschool child; for students who are eligible for the policy to make an application for study support (the form is specified in the Appendix attached to this Decree).

- At the beginning of the course, pre-university schools, higher education institutions, vocational education institutions with very few students and students from ethnic minorities will organize and widely announce widely for pupils and students who are eligible for the policy to apply for study support (the form is specified in the Appendix attached to this Decree).

- Within 20 working days from the date of posting the notice, the parents (or caregivers) of the preschool child; students, students apply to educational institutions.

- Within 10 working days after the deadline for receiving the application, the educational institution shall organize the consideration of the application for study support, make and approve the list of beneficiaries, and post it up. publicize the list of beneficiaries, send reports to the immediate superior management agency and make the payment.

Kindergarteners, students, and students studying at public educational institutions only need to submit an application for study support once when they start studying at an educational institution. In the following school years, educational institutions shall base themselves on the list of preschoolers, pupils and students of ethnic minorities who are studying at the school and the applications of preschool children, pupils and new students to study to make and approve the list of beneficiaries.

b) For preschool children, pupils and students studying at non-public educational institutions

- At the beginning of the school year, preschool education institutions, general education institutions with preschool children, ethnic minority students who attend very few students organize dissemination, widely announcement, and guidance for parents (or caregiver) preschool child; for students who are eligible for the policy to make an application for study support (the form is specified in the Appendix attached to this Decree).

- At the beginning of the course, higher education institutions, vocational education institutions with very few ethnic minority students and students will organize and widely inform students and be eligible for the policy to make an application for study support (the form is provided in the Appendix to this Decree).

- Within 20 working days from the date of posting the notice, the parents (or caregivers) of the preschool child; students, students apply to educational institutions. Educational institutions are responsible for confirming on the application for academic support of the parents (or carers) of preschool children; of students, students of ethnic minorities are very few people.

- Within 30 working days from the date of opening of the school year or course, parents (or caregivers) of preschool children; elementary school students, junior high school students submit an application for study support to the Department of Education and Training, high school students submit an application for study support to the Department of Education and Training, study Students, students studying at vocational education institutions and higher education institutions submit an application for study support to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs where preschool children, students, and students have permanent residence. In case the student or student does not come directly to pay, the student's parents or student will pay instead.

- Within 10 working days after the deadline for receiving the support application form, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training, the Division of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs are responsible for organizing the review of the application. consider applications, make and approve the list of beneficiaries, publicly post the list of policy beneficiaries and make payments.

2. Method of payment for study support:

a) Public educational institutions pay study support directly to parents (or caregivers) of preschool children, pupils and students. Payment is made on a monthly basis.

b) The Department of Education and Training, the Department of Education and Training, and the Division of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs shall pay study support directly to the parents (or caregivers) of preschool children; students, students or through their parents, students of non-public educational institutions. Depending on the actual conditions of the beneficiaries, the payment can be made monthly or quarterly.

According to this Article, public educational institutions pay study support directly to parents (or carers) for students on a monthly basis in Vietnam.
