How Many Students Should Be in Each Class in a Primary School?
Pursuant to the Charter of Primary Schools (issued together with Circular 41/2010/TT-BGDDT), the regulations regarding classes, student groups, grade levels, and school divisions are as follows:
Students are organized by classes. Each class has a class president, and one or two vice presidents, who are either elected by the collective students or appointed alternately by the homeroom teacher during the school year. Each class shall have no more than 35 students.
Each class has a homeroom teacher responsible for teaching one or multiple subjects. The allocation of teachers per class adheres to the current regulations of the State.
In particularly difficult areas, composite classes may be organized to facilitate students' attendance. The number of students and the number of grade levels in a composite class should be suitable to the teaching capacity of the teacher and local conditions.
Thus, in primary schools, each class shall not exceed 35 students as per current regulations.
Respectfully!
