According to Point a, Clause 1, Article 40 of the High School Graduation Examination Regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulating incentive points, in which:
Learners participating in the following competitions and activities will receive incentive points to be considered for high school graduation recognition:
Winning individual prizes in the Grade 12 subject excellence competition:
- First, second, or third prize in the national competition or first prize in the provincial competition will receive an additional 2.0 points;
- Encouragement prize in the national competition or second prize in the provincial competition will receive an additional 1.5 points;
- Third prize in the provincial competition will receive an additional 1.0 point.
Thus, achieving the second prize in the Grade 12 provincial subject excellence competition will earn you an additional 1.5 points when being considered for high school graduation recognition. However, for university entrance examinations, no additional points will be awarded.
