How long is the permitted delay for university admission?
According to Clause 3, Article 20 of the Undergraduate Admission Regulations issued under Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
For candidates arriving at the school to enroll more than 15 days late from the date stated in the enrollment notice:
- If there is no valid reason, it is considered as dropping out;
- If delayed due to illness or accident with certification from a district-level hospital or higher, or due to natural disasters with certification from a district-level People's Committee or higher, the schools will review and decide whether to accept admission or defer the admission results for the candidate to enroll later.
=> Thus, students may enroll 15 days late. In cases of enrollment past the 15 days from the date on the enrollment notice without a valid reason certified by a medical facility or a legitimate reason, it is deemed as dropping out.
Sincerely.
