How long can teachers go on business trips without receiving classroom allowances?
According to the provisions in Section I of Joint Circular 01/2006/TTLT-BGD&DT-BNV-BTC, educators directly teaching in public educational institutions are entitled to preferential allowances (also known as classroom allowances).
This Joint Circular also stipulates that educators will not receive this preferential allowance during the following periods:
+ The period of working, duty travel, or studying abroad while receiving 40% of their salary as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 8 of Decree 204;
+ The period of working, duty travel, or studying domestically without participating in teaching continuously for more than 3 months;
+ The period of personal leave without salary continuously for 1 month or more;
+ The period of sick leave or maternity leave exceeding the time limit prescribed by the current Social Insurance Charter;
+ The period of teaching suspension.
Thus, teachers on duty travel without participating in teaching continuously for more than 3 months will not receive this allowance during that period.
Respectfully!
