How are Physical Education Teachers and Instructors Regulated?
Physical education teachers and lecturers are regulated in Article 6 of Circular 48/2020/TT-BGDDT. To be specific:
- Duties of physical education teachers and lecturers
a) Advise the school leadership on diversifying forms of organizing sports activities; take the leading role in organizing sports activities; manage, direct, and guide the establishment of sports clubs, maintaining and developing the sports movement in the school.
b) Based on the needs of learners and the actual conditions of the school, proactively advise on mobilizing resources of physical education teachers and lecturers within the school and invite external instructors to participate in professional guidance to organize sports activities effectively.
c) Identify and nurture students with sports talent to participate in school-level, national, and international sports competitions; propose specific solutions to support students with weak physical fitness, who do not meet the physical education program requirements, do not meet the standards for physical fitness evaluation and classification; students with congenital diseases are exempted or participate in training with appropriate content and form.
d) Perform other teaching duties as prescribed by current regulations.
- Rights of physical education teachers and lecturers
a) Receive training and professional development to improve knowledge, skills, and methods of organizing sports activities in the school.
b) Be facilitated to participate in training activities for school team students.
c) Enjoy the rights and policies of teachers and lecturers, as well as other policies in the field of physical education and sports as prescribed by current regulations.
