Homeroom Teacher cum Secretary of the High School Council: How Many Teaching Periods are Reduced?
Based on Clause 1, Article 8, Clause 3, Article 9 of the Working Regime for General Education Teachers issued in conjunction with Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
Homeroom teachers at the primary education level are reduced by 3 periods/week, at the lower secondary education level and upper secondary education level, they are reduced by 4 periods/week.
Teachers concurrently serving as the chairman of the school council or secretary of the school council are reduced by 2 periods/week.
And Clause 5, Article 9 also stipulates: To ensure the quality of teaching and work, no teacher may concurrently hold more than 2 positions and shall enjoy the period reduction policy for the position with the highest period reduction.
Thus, homeroom teachers at the upper secondary education level will be reduced by 4 periods/week, and since this reduction is higher than that for teachers concurrently serving as the secretary of the school council, in this case, the teacher will be reduced by 4 periods/week.
Respectfully!
