High School Students with Good Conduct: Are They Eligible for Advanced Student Commendation?
Are high school students with decent conduct eligible for advanced student commendation?
Pursuant to Clause 8, Article 1 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT, the following regulations apply:
Article 18. Recognition of student title
Recognize the title of excellent student for the semester or the entire school year if the student achieves good conduct and excellent academic performance.
Recognize the title of advanced student for the semester or the entire school year if the student achieves conduct at the level of decent or higher and academic performance at the level of decent or higher.
Students with outstanding achievements or exceptional progress in their studies and training will be awarded a certificate of merit by the Principal.
Based on the current regulations, if you have decent conduct and decent academic performance, you will be commended as an advanced student.
Conditions to be classified as having decent academic performance in high school?
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 13 of the Regulations on assessment and classification of lower secondary and upper secondary students issued with Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, amended by Clause 6, Article 2 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT, the conditions to be classified as having decent academic performance in lower secondary school are as follows:
- Decent level, if the following criteria are met:
a) The average score of all subjects is 6.5 or higher, with an average score of at least one of the three subjects (Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language) being 6.5 or higher; specifically, for specialized class students in specialized high schools, the specialized subject average score must also be 6.5 or higher;
b) No subject has an average score below 5.0;
c) Subjects assessed by comments must reach the level of Achieved.
