Extension of Working Time for University Lecturers with Doctorate Degrees Upon Reaching Retirement Age
Clause 2, Article 9, Decree 141/2013/ND-CP stipulates the extension of working time for lecturers who are of retirement age as follows:
The extended working time for lecturers with a doctorate degree is not more than 5 years; for lecturers with the title of associate professor is not more than 7 years; and for lecturers with the title of professor is not more than 10 years.
During the extended working period, the person who has been granted an extension has the right to request retirement benefits according to the regulations.
Thus, university lecturers with doctorate degrees who reach the retirement age can have their working time extended by no more than 5 years.
