End-of-Term Exam Candidates Scoring 4.0: Are They Required to Retake the Course?
According to Clause 2, Article 25 of the Master’s Training Regulation issued together with Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT, the regulations are as follows:
Regular assessment scores and final exam scores for each module are graded on a 10-point scale, rounded to one decimal place. The module score is the total of the regular assessment score and the final exam score multiplied by the corresponding weight and rounded to one decimal place.
A module is considered satisfactory (accumulated module) if the module score is 4.0 or higher. If the module score is below 4.0, the student must retake that module or may switch to an equivalent alternative module (if it is an elective module).
Based on the above regulation, if a student has a module score below 4.0, they must retake the module or switch to another equivalent module (if it is an elective module). Since your module score is exactly 4.0, you do not need to retake it.
Respectfully.
