Eligibility for Priority Points under Category 2 After Studying for 3 Years in Region III, Ethnic Minority Mountainous Areas?
According to Clause 2 Article 39 of the High School Graduation Examination Regulations issued in conjunction with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the following is stipulated:
Bonus Points for Category 2: Add 0.25 points for candidates belonging to one of the following groups:
- Kinh people and foreigners residing in Vietnam with permanent residence status for 3 years or more (up to the date of the exam) in particularly difficult communes, border communes, safe zone communes under the investment scope of Program 135; in particularly difficult communes in coastal and island areas as per the current regulations of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam; communes in area I, II, III in ethnic and mountainous regions as per the current regulations of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
- Studying at high schools not located in the inner-city districts of cities directly under the Central Government for at least two-thirds of the high school study period.
Thus, if you fall into any of the conditions mentioned above, you will receive bonus points in Category 2. It is not required to meet both conditions to receive bonus points.
