Admission Application Documents
A valid copy of the birth certificate.
Junior high school graduation certificate or provisional junior high school graduation certificate or a copy of the junior high school diploma.
Junior high school transcript.
Priority policy certification issued by a competent authority (if any).
Certification issued by the People’s Committee at commune, ward, or commune-level town for those who graduated junior high school in previous years, confirming they are not serving a prison sentence, undergoing non-custodial reformation, or violating the law.

Based on Article 10 of the Junior High School and High School Admission Regulation issued with Circular 11/2014/TT-BGDDT, amended by Article 2 of Circular 05/2018/TT-BGDDT, the responsibilities of the Department of Education and Training in the 10th-grade admission process are:
- Developing the admission plan, submitting it to the provincial People's Committee for approval, including the following main contents: locality, method, objects, priority policies, and organization of high school admission work.
For localities that choose the method of entrance examination or a combination of entrance examination and examination, the following additional contents are required:
+ Examination subjects, examination questions, examination format, examination duration, examination points coefficients, additional points.
+ Organization, duties and activities, powers and responsibilities of the examination question council, the examination supervision council, the examination marking council, the examination re-evaluation council; examination question setting, printing, and mailing.
- Guiding the admission work for educational departments and high schools.
- Deciding on the establishment of the admission council; approving the admission results of each high school. Receiving the documents of the admission councils, examination supervision councils, and examination marking councils.
- Organizing inspections and examinations of junior high school and high school admission work.
- Archiving admission documents as prescribed by law.
- Performing statistics, information, regular and annual reports, extraordinary reports on the admission work to the provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training.
