Do Students Engaging in Fights Outside School Receive a Poor Conduct Evaluation?
Based on Clause 4, Article 4 of the Regulation on assessment and classification of secondary school students and high school students issued under Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, which provides criteria for classifying student conduct, including a "weak" category:
Not meeting the criteria for average classification or having any of the following defects:
- Committing a serious violation or repeatedly violating the provisions in Clause 1 of this Article, receiving education but not making corrections;
- Being disrespectful, offending the dignity, honor, or violating the physical integrity of teachers and school staff; offending the dignity, honor of classmates or others;
- Cheating in studies, tests, or exams;
- Fighting, causing disorder and security issues in the school or in society; violating traffic safety; causing damage to public property or the property of others.
It is evident that students fighting inside or outside the school premises is unacceptable (falling under prohibited student behaviors). According to this regulation, students fighting in school or in society (i.e., outside the school premises) will be assessed with a weak conduct rating for that semester.
Respectfully!
