Do Primary School Music Teachers Need to Study University Majors in Music to Upgrade Standards According to Regulations?
Based on Clause 2, Article 2 of Decree 71/2020/ND-CP (effective from August 18, 2020), for primary school teachers without a bachelor's degree in the field of primary education training or without a bachelor's degree in a suitable major and a certificate of pedagogical training or higher. Accordingly, you have the option to upgrade the qualification standard for teacher training through one of the following two ways:
- The first way is to upgrade to a bachelor's degree in the field of primary education training.
- The second way is to upgrade to a bachelor's degree in a specialized major; however, for the bachelor's degree in a specialized major, you must have an additional certificate of pedagogical training.
Therefore, you can choose one of the above two ways, and thus your choice to study primary education to upgrade your qualifications will be accepted according to the above regulation.
