Do elementary school students receive certificates of merit for outstanding achievement?
According to Article 13 of the Regulations on Primary School Student Assessment issued together with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, the following provisions apply:
The Principal awards certificates of merit to students:
- End-of-year awards:
+ Award the title of Outstanding Student to students who are assessed to have achieved excellent educational results;
+ Award the title of Exemplary Student who successfully completes their studies and training to students who are assessed to have achieved good educational results, and also have outstanding achievements in at least one subject or demonstrate significant progress in at least one quality or competence; recognized by the class collective.
- Special awards: students with extraordinary achievements during the school year.
Thus, based on the regulations, students assessed as having achieved excellent educational results will be awarded the title of Outstanding Student by the Principal.
