Discharged for 5 Years, Is It Possible to Receive Additional Points When Taking University Entrance Exams?
According to Clause 1, Article 7 of Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT (Effective from June 22, 2020), the subjects of Group 03 under Priority Group 1 are defined as follows:
- War invalids, sick soldiers, and those who have a "Certificate of Entitlement to Policies as War Invalids";
- Military personnel; officers, non-commissioned officers, and conscripted soldiers in the People's Public Security who are sent to study with a service duration of 12 months or more in Area 1;
- Military personnel; officers, non-commissioned officers, and conscripted soldiers in the People's Public Security who are sent to study with a service duration of 18 months or more;
- Military personnel; officers, non-commissioned officers, and conscripted soldiers in the People's Public Security who have been discharged and recognized for completing their mandatory service according to regulations;
- Priority subjects specified in points i, k, l, m, Clause 1, Article 2 of Ordinance No. 26/2005/PL-UBTVQH11 dated June 29, 2005, as amended and supplemented by Ordinance No. 04/2012/UBTVQH13 dated July 16, 2012 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services to the revolution;
Thus, upon completing your military service, you will receive priority points when you have a Certificate of Completion of Mandatory Service according to regulations.
