Consolation Prize for Provincial Excellent Student in Literature: Is it Eligible for Extra Points in High School Graduation Exam?
Section a, Clause 1, Article 40 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular No. 15/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulates the bonus points as follows:
Learners participating in the following competitions and activities will receive bonus points for high school graduation recognition:
Winning individual prizes in the examination to select excellent students in grade 12 in cultural subjects: Winning first, second, or third prize in the national exam or first prize at the provincial level will receive 2.0 points; consolation prize in the national exam or second prize at the provincial level will receive 1.5 points; third prize at the provincial level will receive 1.0 point.
Based on the above regulations, only cases of winning first, second, or third prize at the provincial level in grade 12 cultural subjects will receive bonus points.
In your case, winning a consolation prize in the provincial exam for excellent students in grade 12 in Literature will not receive bonus points when taking the high school graduation exam.
