- The principal awards certificates of merit to students:
a) Year-end rewards:
- Rewards for the title of Excellent Student for those students who are evaluated with educational results achieving the level of Outstanding Completion;

How is the completion of the school program, and primary education program regulated?
At Article 11 of the Regulation on Primary Student Assessment promulgated together with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, the specific regulations on the completion of the school program and the primary education program are as follows:
[1] Evaluation of the completion of the school program:
- Students are confirmed to have completed the school program if they are evaluated with educational results at one of three levels: Outstanding Completion, Good Completion, Completion.
- For students who have not been confirmed as completing the school program, the teacher plans, guides, and assists; supplementary evaluation is conducted to determine the completion of the school program.
- For students who have been guided and assisted but still do not meet the conditions to complete the school program, depending on the level of incompletion in subjects, educational activities, formation and development of some qualities and competences, the teacher makes a list and reports to the principal to organize an examination, evaluation, and decision on grade promotion or retention.

Students completing grade 5 are confirmed and recorded in the school record: Completion of the primary education program.
What requirements must primary student evaluations meet?
In Article 4 of the Regulation on Primary Student Assessment promulgated together with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated that primary student evaluations must meet the following requirements:
- Evaluate students by assessing the level of achievement required and specific expressions of the components of each subject's competence, educational activities, and the qualities and competences of students as required by the elementary education program.
- Continuous assessment through comments, periodic evaluations combining scores and comments; combining teacher, student, and parent evaluations, in which teacher evaluation is the most important.
