Can Public School Teachers Give Lectures at Private Schools?
At Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 44/2011/TT-BGDDT, it is stipulated:
- For teaching subjects and specialized themes specified in the preschool education program, general education, intermediate professional education, higher education and continuing education to obtain degrees within the national education system, visiting lecturers must meet the standards specified in Clause 2, Article 70 of the Education Law; if visiting lecturers are staff teachers, regular teachers of preschool or general education institutions, they must meet the teacher professional standards of the education level they are visiting.
And in Article 70 of the Education Law 2005, replaced by Article 67 of the Education Law 2019, it is stipulated:
Teachers must meet the following standards:
Have good qualities, thoughts, and ethics;
Meet professional standards according to job positions;
Have skills to update and improve professional capacities;
Ensure health according to job requirements.
=> Therefore, according to the above regulation, if you are a teacher at a public high school, you have the right to be a visiting lecturer at educational institutions if you meet the conditions and standards mentioned above.
Respectfully.
