Can One Attend University Without Completing High School?

Article 5 of the Regulation on University Admission; Admission to Early Childhood Education College Level issued together with Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT, stipulates the conditions for university admission. One of these principles is as follows:

Candidates who have graduated from the high school program of Vietnam (either through formal education or continuing education) or have graduated from the intermediate level (whereby, those graduating from the intermediate level but have not yet obtained a high school diploma must study and meet the required amount of high school cultural knowledge as stipulated by the Education Law and its guiding documents) or have graduated from a foreign high school program (approved by the host country and equivalent to the high school level of Vietnam) abroad or in Vietnam (hereinafter collectively referred to as high school graduation).

=> Thus, it is mandatory for candidates to have graduated from the high school program of Vietnam to be eligible for university admission.
