Can individuals who have graduated from secondary vocational schools take the national high school exam to use the results for university admission?
Can someone who has graduated from intermediate school take the high school graduation exam to use the results as a basis for university admission?
Based on Clause 1, Article 12 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the subjects and conditions for the exam are specified as follows:
- Exam subjects include:
a) Individuals who have completed the high school program in the year the exam is held;
b) Individuals who have completed the high school program but have not taken the high school graduation exam or have taken the exam but did not graduate in previous years;
c) Individuals who already have a high school graduation diploma or a vocational intermediate diploma, taking the exam to use the results as a basis for admission;
d) Some other special cases decided by the Minister of Education and Training.
Based on Point c, Clause 2, Article 12 of the above Regulations as amended by Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular 05/2021/TT-BGDDT, the conditions for the exam are specified as follows:
c) Subjects who have graduated from intermediate level as stipulated in point c, clause 1 of this Article must ensure they have studied and passed the required volume of high school cultural knowledge as per the Education Law and current guiding documents of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Therefore, you, who have graduated with a vocational intermediate diploma in accounting, can register to take the national high school graduation exam to use the scores for admission to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. To take the high school graduation exam, you need to ensure you have met the required volume of high school cultural knowledge and prepare complete registration documents for the exam.
What documents are required for the exam registration of independent candidates who have graduated high school?
Based on Point d, Clause 2, Article 13 of the above Regulations, the documents required for the high school graduation exam registration are as follows:
d) For candidates who have graduated from intermediate school, the registration documents include: 02 identical registration forms; 02 photographs sized 4x6 cm; a copy of the lower secondary school graduation diploma, a copy of the vocational intermediate diploma, a copy of the academic transcript or the score sheet of high school cultural subjects as per the Education Law and current guiding documents of the Ministry of Education and Training.
