Can I Take the Exam for Another University While Studying at a University?
According to Article 5 of the Regulations on Undergraduate and College Admissions in Early Childhood Education, issued in conjunction with Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT, the conditions for regular university admissions are defined as follows:
- Candidates who have graduated from the Vietnamese high school program (either via formal education or continuing education) or graduated from the intermediate level (where those who graduated from the intermediate level but have not obtained a high school diploma must study and pass the required high school cultural knowledge as stipulated by the Law on Education and its guiding documents) or have graduated from a foreign high school program (authorized by the host country and equivalent to the high school level of Vietnam) either abroad or in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to collectively as high school graduates).
- Candidates must be in good health for studying according to current regulations. For those who are disabled, deformed, or have impairments that affect their ability to live independently and study, as recognized by competent authorities, the university principals will consider and decide on allowing them to apply for suitable courses with their health status.
- Candidates must be within the age limits specified by institutions that have age regulations.
- Candidates who register for admission selection (DKXT) or apply to schools with preliminary requirements must meet the preliminary requirements.
- Candidates must have a permanent residence in the specified admission area, if applying or sitting for exams at schools that have regional admission requirements.
- Military personnel; officers, non-commissioned officers, and conscripted police officers may only apply to the schools specified by the Ministry of Defense or the Ministry of Public Security after obtaining permission from competent authorities to study; active-duty soldiers nearing the end of their military service, if permitted by their commanding officer from the regiment level or higher, are allowed to apply according to their personal aspirations, and if admitted, must enroll immediately in that year without deferring to the next academic year.
Therefore, if you meet the above conditions, you are eligible to apply for university admission in 2022. The fact that you are currently studying at another university does not affect your eligibility to apply.
Respectfully!
