Can College Students Retake University Entrance Exams Next Year?
According to Clause 1, Article 12 of the Regulation on High School Graduation Examination issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDDT, the candidates and conditions for the examination are stipulated as follows:
Candidates include:
- Individuals who have completed the high school education program in the year the examination is held;
- Individuals who have completed the high school education program but have not taken the high school graduation examination or have taken it but did not graduate in previous years;
- Individuals who have a High School Graduation Diploma, individuals who have a Secondary Diploma taking the examination to use the results as a basis for university admission;
- Some other special cases decided by the Minister of Education and Training.
Therefore, if you failed the entrance exam to the Police Academy this year and decided to study at a College, you belong to the category of candidates who already have a high school diploma and wish to retake the exam to use the results for university admission (commonly referred to as free candidates). Thus, you can register to retake the exam next year if you desire.
Respectfully!
