Can an 18-year-old apply for re-study 10th grade in Vietnam?

According to Clause 2, Article 4 of the Regulation on school change and admittance of pupils to learn at junior and senior secondary schools issued with Decision No. 51/2002/QD-BGDDT:

Students applying to return to school after time off but still within the age range specified for each educational level.

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 28 of the Law on Education 2019, the educational levels and ages in general education are regulated as follows:

- Primary education is conducted over 5 years, from the first grade to the end of the fifth grade. The age of students entering the first grade is 6 years old, calculated by year;

- Lower secondary education is conducted over 4 years, from the sixth grade to the end of the ninth grade. Students entering the sixth grade must have completed primary education. The age of students entering the sixth grade is 11 years old, calculated by year;

- Upper secondary education is conducted over 3 years, from the tenth grade to the end of the twelfth grade. Students entering the tenth grade must have a lower secondary school graduation certificate. The age of students entering the tenth grade is 15 years old, calculated by year.

According to the above regulations, current laws do not specifically stipulate the age limit for completing the high school program. Therefore, at 18 years old, you can still apply to reenter the 10th grade.
