Both a Homeroom Teacher and Head of the Professional Group are Eligible for a Reduction in Teaching Hours for Concurrent Positions?
According to Article 6 of the Regulations on working policies for high school teachers, issued with Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT, the teaching quota for primary school teachers is 23 periods.
Primary school homeroom teachers are reduced by 3 periods/week (Clause 1 Article 8).
Subject team leaders are reduced by 3 periods/week (Clause 5 Article 8).
Clause 5 Article 9 also stipulates: To ensure the quality of teaching and work, each teacher does not hold more than 2 concurrent positions and enjoys the policy of reduced teaching quota of the position with the highest reduction.
Thus, in the case of holding 2 concurrent positions, the teacher only enjoys the policy of reduced teaching quota of the position with the highest reduction. Here, both the homeroom teacher and the subject team leader are reduced by 3 periods/week, so your case is eligible for the 3 periods/week reduction.
Respectfully!
