Are School Healthcare Workers Required to Have Foreign Language Proficiency?
Based on the provisions of Clause 2, Article 8 of Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT:
- School health staff must have professional qualifications of at least a mid-level medical practitioner. Based on local practical conditions, schools may arrange school health staff who meet the regulations at this Point or sign contracts with the Commune Health Station or healthcare facilities from the level of polyclinics and up to care for students' health;
- School health staff must regularly update their medical expertise through workshops, training, and professional development organized by the Health sector and the Education sector to implement the prescribed tasks.
Thus, according to this regulation, professionally, school health staff only need to meet the qualifications from mid-level medical practitioners and up; there is no requirement for foreign language proficiency. Therefore, you can completely apply for the position of school health staff.
Note: Some schools may have additional recruitment conditions beyond the above minimum standards. Especially for international schools, they may require foreign language proficiency for staff. Therefore, before applying to any unit, you should thoroughly research that unit's recruitment requirements.
Sincerely!
