In Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT stipulates Regulations on rounding for course evaluation at the end of the semester are as follows:
1. In each semester, the number of DDGtx, DDGgk and DDGck of a student for each subject and educational activity (including optional topics) is as follows:
a) Regularly check and evaluate:
- Subjects with 35 periods or less/school year: 2 DDGtx;
- Courses have from over 35 to 70 periods/school year: 3 DDGtx;
- Courses have more than 70 periods/school year: 4 DDGtx.
b) Periodic inspection and evaluation:
In each semester, a subject has 01 (one) DDGgk and 01 (one) DDGck;
2. Scores for tests and assessments are integers or decimal numbers taken to the first decimal place after rounding.
3. Students who do not have enough test and evaluation points according to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Article, if there is a legitimate reason, will be tested and evaluated to make up the missing test or evaluation, with the form and level. equivalent knowledge, skills and time. Make-up testing and evaluation are completed each semester or at the end of the school year.
4. In case a student does not have enough test and evaluation points as prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article without a legitimate reason or has a legitimate reason but does not participate in the test or evaluation, he/she will receive points 0 (zero) of the test, rating is missing.
Thus, if the academic evaluation score of a semester is a decimal number, the first decimal place will be taken. So, when you are rated 7.45, it will not be rounded up to 7.5 in Vietnam.
