After Completing the Residency Doctor Program, Can One Choose the Hospital to Work at?
Article 18 Regulations on Residency Doctor Training Issued with Decision 19/2006/QD-BYT stipulate the benefits of trainees as follows:
- Trainees are allowed to use the library, scientific materials, and laboratories to serve their studies, research, and thesis writing.
- Trainees are eligible for preferential scholarships and other allowances during their study period, provided with labor protection equipment, and arranged accommodation at the hospital or practice facility.
- Trainees graduating with excellent grades are permitted to express their employment preferences and are considered for exemption from the specialized level II entrance exam if needed.
Thus, only trainees who graduate with excellent grades are allowed to express their employment preferences; if not achieving excellent grades, after graduation, trainees must comply with the Ministry of Health's work assignments according to Article 87 of the Education Law (Clause 5, Article 17 of this Regulation).
Respectfully!
