When must a cooperative create a member registry book?
Article 25 of the Cooperative Law 2012 stipulates:
Cooperatives and cooperative unions must establish a member registration book and member cooperative registration book immediately after being granted a registration certificate. The registration book must contain the following information:
Name and address of the head office of the cooperative, cooperative union; number and date of issuance of the registration certificate;
Information about members and member cooperatives, including:
a) Full name, permanent address, nationality, ID card number or passport for individual members or representatives of households;
b) Name, address of the head office, establishment decision number or registration number for members that are legal entities; full name, permanent address, nationality, ID card number, or passport of the legal representative of the said legal entity;
c) Name, address of the head office, registration number of the member cooperative; full name, permanent address, nationality, ID card number, or passport of the legal representative of the said member cooperative;
The contributed capital value of each member and member cooperative; the time of capital contribution;
Number and date of issuance of the capital contribution certificate of each member and member cooperative;
Signature of individual members, legal representatives of households, legal representatives of legal entities; signature of the legal representative of the member cooperative;
Signature of the legal representative of the cooperative, cooperative union.
Thus, according to the law, cooperatives must establish a member registration book immediately after being granted a registration certificate (cooperative registration certificate). The member registration book must include all the above-mentioned contents.
