Requirements for the Installation of IT Equipment in Banking Operations

According to Article 17 of Circular 09/2020/ND-CP (Effective from January 1, 2021) stipulating general requirements for locations installing information technology equipment as follows:

- Protection by boundary walls, entrance gates or by implementing measures to control and reduce the risk of unauthorized intrusion.

- Implement measures to prevent risks from fire, explosion, and flooding.

- Areas with high safety and security requirements, such as areas installing servers, storage devices, security devices, and communication devices for information systems from level 3 and higher, must be isolated from common, distribution, and delivery areas; issue internal regulations, working guidelines, and apply access control measures for these areas.

Above are the general requirements for the installation locations of information technology equipment in banking activities according to the latest regulations.
