Period of Leave for Health Benefits Exempt from Union Fees?
Pursuant to Clause 6, Article 23 of the Regulations issued together with Decision 1908/QD-TLD dated 2016, union members in one of the following cases are exempted from paying union fees:
- Union members receiving social insurance benefits for 01 month or more are not required to pay union fees during the period of receiving benefits;
- Union members who are unemployed, without income, or on personal leave for 01 month or more without salary are not required to pay union fees during that period.
=> The period of leave for sickness benefits is among the periods of leave receiving social insurance benefits. If the period of receiving sickness benefits is 1 month or more, this period is exempt from paying union fees.
